Elyse has been involved in athletics and fitness since the age of 5 years old. She was a track and field athlete for thirteen years, competing and winning in multiple state championships. She chose to not pursue her athletics in college for personal health reasons, but wanted to continue her love of fitness and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Salisbury University in 2010. After graduating, she then became a Registered Nurse and had the privilege of using her Bachelor’s Degree in conjunction with her nursing degree to help numerous patients learn how to move and use their bodies again. Elyse met her husband, Josh, in 2011, and they immediately bonded over their passion for health and fitness. During her pregnancy, Elyse gained 50 pounds, had numerous hormonal imbalances and developed hypothyroidism post pregnancy. Her purpose in life is to share her experiences and knowledge to help anyone she can, and to guide and motivate others to become the best version of themselves. Elyse, Josh, and their son Dexter try to be a living example of a healthy lifestyle.
