About Joshua Buchbinder, MS, CIFT

As a child he struggled with severe Asthma and weight gain as a result of medication and inactivity. Early on he became involved with the Martial Arts, but it wasn’t enough and at age 12 discovered his cholesterol levels were out of control. He made a choice to start a fitness and nutrition and got involved with an Acrobatics team and quickly realized he had a passion for coaching! Over the past two decades Josh has worked to increase his education in fitness, health and nutrition and has numerous advanced certifications including Kettlebell training, Corrective Exercise and Athletic Performance Training (to name a few). In 2011 he met his wife, Elyse, (in the gym of course). In 2013 he received his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science specifically for Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. Josh has had the privilege of working with several large fitness companies creating Group Training Programs that are still implemented in hundreds of clubs nationwide. He writes for multiple resources and has been the technical advisor on televised fitness programs. After having their son and moving around the country they decided to move back home to Maryland.
